Come join the Lunenburg Parks and Recreation Department and The Painted Goat for art programs this winter!4 Week Clay WorkshopMonday Nights11/18, 11/25, 12/2 and 12/95:30PM-6:30PM: KIDS CLASS $60It is time to play with clay!! Have your child join Mike from The Painted Goat to learn the basics of clay and clay building. Children will make 4 projects over the course of the class. Clay is so much fun!! This class is geared towards ages 5-12. 6:30PM-7:30PM: ADULTS CLASS $60Let's make polymer clay jewelry! Polymer clay is an awesome medium to use to create professional looking jewelry. During this class you'll get to make up to 3 different pieces every class. Polymer class will be baked on scene and then we will provide all the hardware to turn your creations into awesome wearable art.  We will explore different techniques and use a variety of different tools. Location: TCP CLASSROOM #18

Whether learning about motors while building drills and catapults or exploring how to use sensors while playing with a magic wand or a goal kicker, we're certain your child will have a great time while they are learning a ton about robots and how to work effectively with a partner!AttackBots (Ages 6-12)5:30-6:25: In this exciting program, students will build a variety of military-inspired robots that will respond to their programmed commands. While working with a partner to solve the various challenges, your student will be challenged to understand how to effectively utilize a sensor, how different mechanical components can alter the power and speed of their machine, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with games and challenges using the robots their build with their partner. They're going to have a BLAST!  Winter Session: 1/8-2/5(weather make-up on 2/12) Robo Pets (Ages 5-7, 4:30-5:25): In this course, your builder will begin their exploration into the world of robotics by building simple, animal-inspired machines that are controlled by icon-based program codes. We will teach your little learner some fundamental engineering and programming concepts as they build goofy animals and design perfect habitats to protect their new robotic friends. Maybe you can't have an alligator as a pet at home, but you can definitely build one in our classroom at Snapology!   Super Structures (Ages 6-10, 5:30-6:25): Can you design the next Taj Mahal? Come create and build the future using LEGO® bricks in Snapology's new and exciting Architecture class! It's never too early to foster your child's engineering and building skills in this super cool program February Break: TUES 2/18- FRI 2/21 Pricing: $249/full day; $149/half day  AM: 9:00-12:00; PM: 12:30-3:30 Full-Day: 9:00-3:30 Mega Machines Robotics: In this machinery-focused robotics program, your engineer will explore the basics of robotics while building some pretty spectacular vehicles with their classmates! While working with a partner to complete various challenges, your student will be taught how to effectively utilize sensors, how different mechanical components work in their robots, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building challenges.   STEAM Survivor: Does your learner have what it takes to be a STEAM Survivor? If your child enjoys taking on engineering and design challenges, working with a team to complete timed tasks, and using partnerships to brainstorm and explore new possibilities to solve unique problems, this program is the perfect place for them to push their STEM and building skills to the next level! Throughout the program, students will be challenged to design and build complicated objects, work cooperatively with others to secure their place on a team, and compete to be the fastest and most precise competitors in the class. In this workshop, students will learn all about the importance of collaboration, careful planning, and skillful execution of their building plans.   Animation Studio: Create amazing movies with stop motion animation using LEGO® bricks. Children will work in teams to produce their very own movie complete with dialogue and sound effects. Movies are uploaded to a secure site for family and friends to see how cool they are! . Early Spring Session: 3/5-4/2 (weather make-up on 4/9)   Science of Superpowers (Ages 5-7, 4:30-5:25): In Snapology's Science of Superpowers program, children will learn about the science behind their favorite heroes' powers. Students will learn about gravity, aerodynamics, forces, motion, and much more as they learn about flight, super villain fights, and superhero vehicles.   AttackBots (Ages 6-10, 5:30-6:25): In this exciting program, students will build a variety of military-inspired robots that will respond to their programmed commands. While working with a partner to solve the various challenges, your student will be challenged to understand how to effectively utilize a sensor, how different mechanical components can alter the power and speed of their machine, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with games and challenges using the robots they build with their partner. Level of play typically falls within these descriptions:  BB: May have played varsity high school and 7 out of 10 passes go to the person intended. Understands offensive concepts and defensive positions but may be working to solidify those skills. Skill levels range from intermediate to proficient veteran. B: Played in some organized leagues and skills are progressed beyond beginner level, or have played some school team, or volleyball club (BB level) but skills are rusty. Knows how to bump, set and spike.
