Snapology’s STEM programs teach through building. Using LEGO® bricks, K’Nex and technology, kids have fun while they learn.LOCATION: TC PASSIOS*Please note these are all parent drop off programs*     April Break: TUES 4/22-FRI 4/25 Pricing: $249/full day $149/half day AM: 9:00-12:00; PM: 12:30-3:30 Full-Day: 9:00-3:30 Brick City: Does your builder enjoy designing beautiful buildings and cities for their mini-figures? If so, this workshop is the perfect space for your young architect or city planner to sharpen their design and building skills! In this workshop, students will learn all about the importance of collaboration, careful planning, and skillful execution of their building plans.   Animation Studio: Create amazing movies with stop motion animation using LEGO® bricks. Children will work in teams to produce their very own movie complete with dialogue and sound effects. Movies are uploaded to a secure site for family and friends to see how cool they are! . Early Spring Session: 3/5-4/2 (weather make-up on 4/9)   Science of Superpowers (Ages 5-7, 4:30-5:25): In Snapology's Science of Superpowers program, children will learn about the science behind their favorite heroes' powers. Students will learn about gravity, aerodynamics, forces, motion, and much more as they learn about flight, super villain fights, and superhero vehicles.   AttackBots (Ages 6-10, 5:30-6:25): In this exciting program, students will build a variety of military-inspired robots that will respond to their programmed commands. While working with a partner to solve the various challenges, your student will be challenged to understand how to effectively utilize a sensor, how different mechanical components can alter the power and speed of their machine, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with games and challenges using the robots they build with their partner. They're going to have a BLAST!     Spring Session: 4/30-5/28   KinderBots (Ages 5-7, 4:30-5:25): In this beginner robotics program, your little engineer will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about motors while building drills and catapults or exploring how to use sensors while playing with a magic wand or a goal kicker, we're certain your child will have a great time while they are learning a ton about robots and how to work effectively with a partner!   Real World Robotics (Ages 6-10, 5:30-6:25): In Snapology's Real World Robotics class using LEGO® Spike Prime, students interested in technology will create robotic models inspired by real life robotic technologies. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, simple machines, and programming as they build alarm devices, earthquake detectors, robotic arms, and much more. Level of play typically falls within these descriptions:  BB: May have played varsity high school and 7 out of 10 passes go to the person intended. Understands offensive concepts and defensive positions but may be working to solidify those skills. Skill levels range from intermediate to proficient veteran. B: Played in some organized leagues and skills are progressed beyond beginner level, or have played some school team, or volleyball club (BB level) but skills are rusty. Knows how to bump, set and spike.

Throughout the week, their knowledge will be put to the test as we: Complete advanced Minecraft® builds using LEGO® bricks and game-play experiences. Students will learn the art of crafting and stirring up their own potions using LEGO® bricks. Create amazing movies with stop-motion animation using LEGO® bricks. Children will work in teams to produce their very own movie complete with dialogue and sound effects. Movies are uploaded to a secure site for family and friends to see how cool they are! Work together as a team in Minecraft® to develop creativity and problem-solving skills through active planning, troubleshooting, and spatial building scenarios. You won't believe how much this fun virtual world can teach you! Not only do children learn valuable architectural design and special building skills as they have fun playing Minecraft, but they participate in team projects to enhance communication skills, teamwork and problem-solving skills. While working with a partner to solve various challenges, your student will be taught how to effectively utilize sensors, how different mechanical components work in their robots, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with creative building challenges. It's going to be a RAWR-ing good time!   During the Mini-Figure Mania portion of camp, we will shrink ourselves to mini-figure size and create our own mini-figure worlds. We will sharpen students' design and building skills! In this workshop, students will learn all about the importance of collaboration, careful planning, and skillful execution of their building plans.Summer Session 3: 8/11-8/15 AttackBots and Science of SuperpowersAttackBots- 9:00AM-12:00PMScience Of Superpowers- 12:30PM-3:30PM In this exciting program, students will build a variety of military-inspired robots that will respond to their programmed commands. While working with a partner to solve the various challenges, your student will be challenged to understand how to effectively utilize a sensor, how different mechanical components can alter the power and speed of their machine, and how programming is a challenging but rewarding skill that they can master with just a little practice. We will support them in the development of their coding and building skills and inspire them with games and challenges using the robots their build with their partner. They're going to have a BLAST!   In Snapology's Science of Superpowers program, children will learn about the science behind their favorite heroes' powers. Students will learn about gravity, aerodynamics, forces, motion, and much more as they learn about flight, super villain fights, and superhero vehicles.

B: Played in some organized leagues and skills are progressed beyond beginner level, or have played some school team, or volleyball club (BB level) but skills are rusty.
